I had a great stay at Begona Playa! the location was perfect, with a small view of the sea from my window. It was also conveniently located, just a 20-minute walk from the bus station. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food at their café was delicious and reasonably priced. I especially loved the churros and chocolate for breakfast. The hotel also had a nice hot shower and a small half bath, which was a welcome bonus after a long day of walking. Cons: Nothing that I didn't like 😊.

Delicious Local Pinchos
The highlight of my stay at this hotel was definitely the bar serving traditional local pinchos. Every evening, I found myself indulging in these mouthwatering delicacies that were bursting with flavors. Each pincho was like a mini work of art, meticulously prepared and presented. It felt like I was taking a culinary tour of Gijon with every bite. I couldn't help but feel like a food explorer, discovering hidden treasures in each pincho. From the succulent meat to the fresh seafood, my taste buds were in absolute paradise. It was an experience that left a lasting impression and made my stay truly memorable.
The only minor issue I encountered during my stay was the thin walls. Occasionally, I was disturbed early in the morning by the sounds of staff opening cupboards and footsteps that seemed like they belonged to giants.

I recently stayed at Begona Playa for a weekend getaway. The staff was lovely and always had a smile on their faces. The hotel has a convenient and welcoming cafe attached, perfect for grabbing a delicious coffee and croissant. Our room at the front of the hotel had a fantastic view of the square and the sea down the road. The location is ideal, with everything within walking distance. The hotel is impeccably clean, and we were provided with fresh towels and toiletries every day. The wifi connection was also excellent.
I would be happy to recommend this hotel.

The water was piping hot and never ran out, plus the room was spotless. The bed was mega firm, which I absolutely loved. The location was totally rad, everything was within walking distance and there were epic places to eat nearby. The breakfast café right across from the hotel was a total game-changer. The staff were so friendly and nice. The room was a bit small, but the bathroom made up for it. The view of the sea from our window was insane and the bus station was a short walk away for priceless day trips. The staff were super helpful and the breakfast in the café was off the charts. The hot shower and mini bath after a long day of exploring was totally clutch. The staff were awesome, the café attached to the hotel was super convenient and welcoming. The view from our front room was jaw-dropping, you could see both the square and the sea.
